Team/division description   Vehicle Supply Chain (VSC) is responsible for the multi modal transportation of Toyota and Lexus vehicles from our Overseas – and Local Plants, to ports of export, inland compounds and/or retailers in Europe.   For those European markets where we assume responsibility until retailer delivery, our vehicles are Customised (Post Production Option Installations-PPO & Vehicle Conversion) and Quality checked (Pre Delivery Inspection) in our hubs, all strategically located within Europe.                Through the fundamentals of Safety and Quality, VLG’s core mission is to achieve on-time and shortest possible delivery lead time to Toyota retailers in Europe. Team description   Parts Supply Chain Group transfers >60M pieces of spare parts and accessories pieces/year from 700 suppliers to more then 3000 customers in Europe. All goods for the After Sales business go via our EDC In Belgium via one of our 13 Regional Depots to the more then 3000 dealers in Europe. Our Depot in Krupka- Czech Republic is responsible to deliver to our customers in Czech Republic, Germany and Poland. The warehouse employs approximately 65 people (both Office and Warehouse) and stores some 53000 part numbers with an inventory value of €5M.  The role encompasses all aspects of the daily management of a stand-alone operation  - Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and includes facility maintenance, legal compliance, finance, and HR.  As TME’s representative in the location the role necessitates establishing and maintaining relationships with the national sales company, dealers, logistic partners, together with community, local authorities, unions and regulatory bodies. In line with Toyota philosophy the depot manager (based in Krupka depot) is expected to lead continuous improvement of his operations utilising latest TPS thinking, benchmarking and yokoten of best practice. The position reports into the Head of Regional Depot Operations area 2 in TME (Brussels) and is also expected to contribute as part of a team with the 13 other depot managers to drive up Toyotas European depots total performance. Your responsibilities   Depot Health & Safety management - Create and foster safety interdependence culture #1: Standard safety briefing, contractor safety management, lead by example - Create a zero risk work environment through proactive risk management, warehouse rack management . - Health & Safety Assessments: Daily safety patrols, - Safety reporting: Local & legal governance reporting , yokoten safety issues, accident & incident reporting - Analyse safety issues, uncover root causes and define countermeasures to avoid re-occurring incidents/accidents - Promote and implement best practises.
