Your team and your responsibilities

Team description

 

Within Toyota Motor Europe the Value Chain Accessory Operations Division is responsible for the Planning, Development, Marketing and Sales of genuine Toyota & Lexus accessories for the European market.

Within the Division the Electrical Development team is responsible for development of electronic accessories (anti-theft systems, towing wiring kits, illuminations,  EV charging accessories etc.) in close cooperation with European suppliers.

 

Your responsibilities 

  • Design & development of electrical accessories according to Toyota’s performance, quality and cost targets.
  • Coordination of suppliers to achieve on-time development, testing, production & launch of accessories.
  • Technical Project Management: define and maintain the development schedule with the supplier and relevant stakeholders to achieve On-Time Availability of accessories at vehicle launch,
  • Translate Planning department product requirements into concepts & detailed product specifications.
  • Initiate, correct and sign-off products & assembly drawings including relevant production tolerances.
  • Carry-out prototype fitting checks and perform Fire Hazard / RQA studies, define wire harness lay-out.
  • Initiate & coordinate component testing at supplier / test labs and validate test reports.
  • Arrange Design reviews and carry out FMEA / DRBFM’s to assure parts meet Toyota quality standards.
  • Lead technical communication with Toyota Japan, clear and transparent reporting to Senior Management.
  • Cooperate closely with Purchasing department to manage all product- and project cost targets.
  • Secure regulation compliance and collaboration with Homologation department.

 

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English, TME's business language.
  • You hold a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Automotive Engineering and have 1 to 4 years of experience in the development of electrical vehicle components or accessories.
  • You have project management skills and enjoy coordinating development activities with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • You combine a strong technical background with an analytical mindset and a helicopter view, allowing you to manage projects in a dynamic environment with short development cycles.
  • You are comfortable using MS Office, AI tools and CAD software; experience with CATIA is a plus.
  • You are an accurate, well-organized team player with a hands-on and self-starting mentality.
  • You take ownership, are proactive and like to bring ideas and solutions to the table.
  • You are willing to travel occasionally.
