Joining Quality Function of Toyota’s European Headquarter, you will be part of a diverse and multi-national team which is continuously improving the quality of our products and services in Europe.

 

The Conformity of Production (COP) team is organized within the Manufacturing Quality Department promoting built-in-quality at our European Manufacturing Companies (EMCs). Our mission is to assure that Toyota vehicles in Europe are built according to homologation/regulatory requirements through:

  • Defining the framework to ensure Regulatory compliance of EMCs, including frequent liaison with related Type-Approval Authorities (TAA) and Technical Services (TS) - in cooperation with the global head office in Japan and related Toyota divisions.
  • Definition, cascading, and clarification of Quality Rules, Standards and specifications aligning with Toyota’s global standards and regulatory requirements for the mass production of vehicles.
  • Audit COP compliance at EMCs ensuring the implementation and adherence of COP requirements, while driving the required (structural) improvements.
  • Surveillance activities (e.g. emission testing for in-service vehicles) in liaison with Type Approval Authorities and assigned Technical Services.
  • Enable sharing of knowledge on best practices among all EMCs as well as Overseas Affiliates.

Your responsibilities

  • Definition, cascading, and clarification of Quality Rules, Standards and specifications aligning with Toyota’s global standards and regulatory requirements for the mass production of vehicles.
  • Audit COP compliance at EMCs ensuring the implementation and adherence of COP requirements, while driving the required (structural) improvements.
  • Management of COP Statements to Type Approval Authorities, monitoring timely filing and receipt.
  • Support the team in In-Service Emission Conformity (ISC) activities, including reporting to related Type Approval Authorities & liaison with related Toyota division for problem solving.
  • Identify and implement breakthrough ideas to support/develop our team in the digital transformation journey to bring improvements to our operations and cooperation with related divisions.

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English, TME’s business language.
  • You hold a Master’s Degree and you have 1 to 4 years of working experience in Quality, Regulatory Compliance or Emissions.
  • You have a keen interest in vehicle manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements, compliance assurance in mass production is an asset.
  • You demonstrate strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural and cross-functional environments.
  • You are an accurate, diplomatic and transparent communicator, capable of building constructive relationships with EMCs, TAA Europe, and TMC stakeholders.
  • You combine analytical and creative thinking to prioritize tasks, solve complex problems and deliver results with a high level of attention to detail.
  • You are well-organized, technically competent, proactive, and results oriented.
  • You are proficient in using Microsoft O365 office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook). Experience with Power BI and Power Automate is an advantage.
  • You are willing to travel (up to 30%).
