Your team and your responsibilities

Team description

 

[Research and Development (R&D) in Europe is responsible for the planning, the development and the production of attractive, superior quality cars matching European market requirements. R&D aims to strengthen the Toyota brand in Europe.

TME Powertrain Testing departments’ responsibilities are:

  • Evaluation of HEV and BEV Powertrain components (engine, motor, transmission, battery and related parts).
  • Support the shift to electrification by investigating European trends for e-Axles and components.
  • Calibrate and evaluate Hybrid powertrain to realize EU customer demand and EU regulation.
  • Validate Model Based Development.
  • Evaluate EU new powertrain technologies for future TOYOTA mass-production.
  • Homologation Emission Testing
  • Fuel Cell Module Testing and customer support

Your responsibilities

 

  • Fuel Cell Module preparation for different applications.
  • Fuel Cell Module instrumentation (e.g. Thermocouples, Pressure sensors, ….)
  • Fuel Cell Module installation, testing and removal on our Fuel Cell Test Bench
  • Perform Quality Assurance tests on the Fuel Cell Modules produced by our Manufacturing Team
  • Data measurement, analysis and reporting to Engineering Team.
  • Commissiong support for the different type of Fuel Cell Module applications at different customers
  • Perform troubleshooting in-house as well as at different customers
  • Fuelling/ de-fuelling/ other preparation activities on Hydrogen powered vehicles
  • Fuel Cell component removal/ installation/ testing

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • A2/A1 degree in automotive technology
  • You have knowledge/ experience in electronics
  • You have TIG/ MIG welding, machining and precision skills
  • Experience 0-5years. Candidates with a few years of experience (R&D, dealership, racing,… ) is an asset
  • Required computer skills: O365 applications, 3D drawing software (e.g. Inventor, CATIA)
  • Owner of a B-driving license
  • Owner of a BE and CE driving license is an asset
  • Owner of a Forklift, hoist crane and HEV 3 license is an asset
  • Strong measurement equipment background
  • You have good fact finding and analysis skills to draw conclusions from the gathered data and information
  • You have a creative mind and a passion for cars
  • You are well organised and your flexibility makes you a perfect team player
  • You are willing to travel. Depending on the urgency, ad-hoc business trips might be needed
  • Self-starter, taking initiative
  • Open personality able to work in an independent way, hands-on mentality, out-of-box thinking and with a strong proactive mindset
  • Stress resistance and good personal organization competences in order to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
