Vehicle Supply Chain (VSC) is a division within the logistics function of TME. VSC’s vision is to deliver vehicles On-Time, In-Time, Everytime: we endeavour to supply vehicles to our customers on-time, in the shortest lead-time, with zero accidents and zero damage – whilst minimising cost and environmental impact. To achieve this vision, VSC works in 4 pillars: Planning, Operations, Performance & Transformation.

 

The mission of our Team (4 people) is to secure Long-term capacity and lead cost Kaizen through continuous monitoring to achieve a sustainable VSC business.

 

Your responsibilities

 

You will report to Cost & Capacity Sr. Manager and will take the lead to coordinate & monitor Cost reduction Activities & provide Long-Term transportation forecast to our Logistics Partners.

 

1.Drive Cost Reduction Initiatives (50%)

Facilitate and coordinate cost-saving activities by identifying and eliminating inefficiencies across logistics operations through by TPS/TBP principles. You'll work closely with team members and managers to evaluate ideas, track progress against targets, and report key performance indicators to Senior management. Your insights will directly influence action plans to close gaps and achieve ambitious savings goals.

 

2. Shape Long-Term Logistics Planning (30%)

Following the annual planning process, you'll forecast transportation needs for vehicle logistics and develop a robust 3-year plan. You’ll engage with Logistics Partners to secure their commitment and proactively address potential constraints—ensuring a stable and scalable logistics network.

 

3. Facilitate Network Development Projects (20%)

Be the go-to expert for new or changing logistics routes. Define requirements around safety, quality, CO₂ impact, lead time, and volume. Collaborate with Purchasing and stakeholders throughout the sourcing process, and support business case development with cost data and strategic input.

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  •  Education level: You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or Purchasing.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations within an international company.
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365 applications (Excel, Access, PBI)
  • Strong analytical skills (Accuracy and reliability) and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • A proactive mindset with a talent for problem-solving.
  • Clear, effective and professional communication is required, both verbally and written.
  • You can work both autonomously, setting your own work schedule and demonstrate flexibility when required by the team or business.
