The Service Parts Supply Chain Group operates 18 central distribution warehouses throughout Europe. Using a hub & spoke distribution method, they ship thousands of components and accessories every day to over 3300 retailers throughout Europe and affiliates across the globe.

Your team and your responsibilities

Team description

 

Organisation, control and monitoring of all logistics processes in order to guarantee supply of dealers with parts and accessories at the right time, in the right quantity and in the right quality in line with requirements and taking into account the TPS concept with highest possible safety level. Allow the dealer to provide a seamless service to our customer.

 

Your responsibilities

 

Health & Safety

  • Create and foster safety culture: Safety always first, zero tolerance related to safety,

lead by example and ensure Stop-Call-Wait culture

  • Create a zero-risk operations environment through proactive risk management
  • Health & Safety assessments: Daily safety patrols, regular risk related discussion with staff
  • Safety reporting: Local & legal governance reporting, Yokoten safety issues, accident & incident reporting
  • Analyse safety issues, uncover root causes and define countermeasures to avoid re-occurring incidents / accidents
  • Promote and implement best practises
  • Continuous improvement of operation, focussing on ergonomically aspects
  • Maximize separation of men & machine and machine & machine

 

Quality

  • Deliver ‘best in class’ quality to dealers
  • Ensure high quality standards up to the dealers, including forwarder activities
  • Define root-causes and implement countermeasures to improve quality
  • Foster customer first environment and adjust operation if needed
  • Define quality KPI’s and priorities for kaizen, for example sorting errors, warehouse denials, non-shipped lines, damages, ability factors, productivity indicators;
  • Report & follow up quality results on daily, monthly, yearly base

 

Operations Management

  • Deliver ‘best in class’ operations by using Toyota Way tools: LDC approach, FMDS,

standardisation, SOP creation and follow-up OJD, QCC;

  • Control and monitoring of all incoming / outgoing goods / transfers / transfers according
    to standardized procedures and defined priorities
  • Follow-up operational KPI’s, face challenging targets and assures that objectives are met
  • Planning of resources: Weekly and daily workload, manpower & equipment planning
  • Monitor operational KPI’s (efficiency, equipment, material, etc.)
  • Initiation and ensuring the implementation of material flow concepts, internal operation,
    transport systems and storage techniques to achieve optimal productivity
  • Gemba management, warehouse process management
  • Create smooth operations through in & outbound flow control & planning (Heijunka)
  • Irregularity management
  • Visualise process, Yamazumi, M&I flow, Standard Operation Procedures
  • Analysis of deviations and initiation of adequate measures in compliance with all internal and external guidelines and laws (e.g. working laws, safety regulations, environmental rules, workplace design).
  • Storage capacity monitoring & irregularity control
  • Translate + communicate local storage issues with depot manager
  • Implement and follow-up local warehouse kaizen plan
  • Encourage, follow up & guidance of depot kaizen activities

 

HRD & People Management

  • Daily HR Management according to Toyota Way
  • Set up & monitor local versatility/skill matrix & create development plan for all associates to reach multi-skill level
  • Identify development needs warehouse associates
  • Ensure clear and structure Toyota Way competencies appraisal within Warehouse Member
  • Organise/facilitate training plan for office & warehouse in line with defined development needs, facilitate OJD
  • Guide & support during job assessment’s
  • Set up succession planning for warehouse associates
  • Work regulations monitor and follow up
  • Communication: regular team-briefing
  • Responsible for the management of subordinates taking into account the management principles within Toyota, particular the Toyota Way.
  • In collaboration with HR and Depot Manager, agreement and implementation of the necessary personnel measures (e.g. warning letter, hiring etc.)
  • Code of Conduct: Ensure TME/depot regulations are followed and implemented.

 

Cost Management

  • Responsible for the provision of all necessary information arising in his sphere of responsibility to all relevant posts
  • Maintenance and further development of a qualified and substantive reporting system
  • Daily/monthly follow up
  • Plan and implement cost reduction activities
  • Initiate + follow up cost kaizen possibilities in the warehouse
  • Equipment & fleet management
  • Manpower & headcount follow up

 

 

Your Profile

Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in logistics and/or shop floor management
  • preferably automotive sector experience
                                                  

 

Technical Knowledge:  

  • Understanding of operational processes and flows
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Knowledge of MS Office

 

Other skills:

  • Experience in total responsibility for delivery of daily result in a shop floor environment.
  • Proven track record of people management
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain Management and implementation of Lean / T.P.S. principles in shop floor operations
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of automotive industries and market
