Toyota Motor Europe is seeking a Product Specialist with a background in engineering, business, or economics and experience in the automotive sector, to join their Parts Management team in Brussels. The role focuses on enhancing the product strategy and sales performance of oil and chemical parts (like engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, etc.) across over 30 European markets.

Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

The Parts Management team is responsible for Planning, Development, Pricing and Performance drive of a wide range of Parts. Parts range from oil filters and windscreen washer fluid to bumpers and windshields. We are a team of many nationalities and work with 30+ different markets that buy the Parts. We work in a dynamic environment where fact-based and speedy decision making is key to achieve targets.

We are responsible for defining business and products strategies, implement them and manage the products lifecycle in collaboration with the National Sales & Marketing Companies (NMSC), VLV, Purchasing, Parts Supply Chain Group (PSCG) and Suppliers.

 

 

Your responsibilities

To study key success factors for oil and chemicals products, make recommendations to unlock the full sales potential, roll-out to markets, monitor and report performance.

Example of products that are in scope: engine oil, transmission oil, coolant, brake fluid, windscreen washer fluid, other fluids needed for vehicle maintenance and repair.

 

Key project steps are:

  • Understand current products positioning
  • Establish unique selling points
  • Analyse market needs and potential
  • Plan new products considering business case
  • Calculate current performance per product per market
  • Create product strategy to enhance sales across Europe
  • Gather input and align proposal with all stakeholders
  • Design and implement step-by-step action plan

 

Your Profile

 

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • You hold a (masters) degree in engineering, business, economics or related field
  • You have experience in the automotive sector
  • You are interested in commercial business within a technical environment
  • You have experience facing customers and building collaborative relationships
  • You take ownership for the assigned responsibilities with a positive mindset
  • You proactively communicate and deliver results in an autonomous manner
  • You are curious and have strong analytical skills to investigate facts
  • You have experience in project management
  • You have experience working in a team and dealing with various stakeholders
  • You have experience in handling high quantity of data and numbers with Excel, Power BI, Power Automate or other similar tools to create automated workflows, reports, calculation sheets…
  • You have experience presenting complex problems in a simple manner based on facts, data and clear logic, while adapting to your audience (A3 report)
  • You have experience with an ERP system (NPA, SAP, Oracle etc)
  • Your values are in line with TOYOTA values (Toyota Way, 5Cs)
