Your responsibilities
The main expectation from a candidate in this area is to successfully support chassis systems and parts development. Typical activities:
You have a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (or Automotive Engineering)
You have mechanical or automotive engineering experience, in design & development of complex mechanical parts, preferably of chassis parts and systems
You have actual professional working experience, also as an internship, of 2 years in time or more
You have knowledge of general vehicle and mechanical design (structural mechanics, material engineering, frequency response analysis, production method/process, …)
Knowledge and experience in vehicle dynamics is an asset
Knowledge and experience with FMEA method is an asset
Knowledge of advanced design solutions for chassis parts is an asset (FEA, topology optimisation, simulation of vehicle and part behaviour, …)
Interest or experience in product styling (looks) design is an asset
Hands-on vehicle (dynamics) evaluation skills are an asset
You have excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
You are pro-active and persistent
You are self-confident and proceed the job with own initiative
You have an analytical approach & good problem-solving skills
You are motivated to learn Toyota Production System and development way
You have a cost and quality conscious mind with customer focus
You have experience with CATIA v5 and FEM analysis are an asset
Experience with machine learning tools (e.g. Python) is an asset
