Your team and your responsibilities

Team description

 

To manage cross divisional and vehicle related project development and planning within TME. To assure that European vehicles will be competitive in European market whilst internal severe project targets with respect to profitability and timing are met.

 

Your responsibilities

Project management within R&D (Research and Development) ensuring successful product profit:

  • Organise R&D development activities on vehicle project base and report status to superior and relevant divisions in TME.
  • Control and manage cost targets, identify concern in any aspect that jeopardizes project targets and propose/discuss possible corrective actions with superior.
  • Constantly promote value engineering and cost reduction activity.
  • Participate/coordinate with engineer, Purchasing department and relevant divisions.
  • Support preparations for project hand-over activities (from TMC, TME to Manufacturing).
  • Monitor and gather other divisions project management activities, propose and discuss improvements if necessary after consultation with superior.

Support planning activities in Europe for future vehicles or technologies within RDMC:

  • Support scheduling of European planning activities in line with the total development schedule
  • Translate market and technical proposals related cost reduction to financial consequences
  • Organise competitor and trend analysis and make proposal to new product
  • Organise benchmarking activities in RDMC/TMME and create value engineering ideas
  • Tear down activities of competitor vehicles and analysis of cost, mass and technologies
  • Define and propose targets for cost (commodity, group, system, parts based) based on bench marking information and vehicle concept direction.

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • Experienced or interested in cost planning, accounting or finance.
  • Ideally 5 years experience with supplier or vehicle manufacturer.
  • Experience to lead cross divisional project teams.
  • Civil engineering or Industrial Engineering degree in automotive, mechanical related, or degree in financial or Economical.
  • Organizer, innovator, communicator, team leader. Good verbal, written and presenter skills.
  • Problem finding, analysing, solving, motivation, coaching and supporting skills.
  • Understanding of total vehicle technology, performance, accounting and financial balance.
  • MS Office PC skills.
