Your team and your responsibilities

Team description

 

Vehicle Logistics Group (VLG) is responsible for the transportation (whether by vessel, rail or truck) of Toyota and Lexus vehicles from our overseas – and local plants, to ports of export, inland compounds and/or retailers in Europe.

           

For those countries (called SPIL), where we assume responsibility until the retailer, our vehicles are customised (Post Production Option Installations) and checked (Pre-Delivery Inspection) in our hubs, all strategically located within Europe.

           

The Vehicle Logistics Group seeks to challenge ‘Plant-to-Retailer’ lead-time, improve delivery performance and reduce cost through the application of Toyota Production System.

 

Your responsibilities

  • 2x / year, you calculate Vehicle Logistics Transportation requirements, communicate 3 years plan, and get Logistics Partners commitment to meet demand.
  • You proactively identify constraints/problems to achieve stable Logistics.
  • For any Network Project or business change (e.g. new Logistic Route), you define VLG requirements (Safety, Quality, CO2, Lead-time and volume towards TME Purchasing and coordinate Sourcing process (gathering stakeholder’s evaluation) till end.
  • When required, you support Network projects in providing necessary data,
  • Through understanding & controlling, you drive our Cost reduction activities by involving all VLG members. You coordinate actual status vers plan and report to higher management
  • You support VLG Cost Control & Budget Monitoring by ensuring accurate reporting in a visual manner to Management within the specified deadlines.

Your Profile

  • Education level: You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or Purchasing.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing environment, Logistics or Project Management within an international company.
  • Highly developed analytical skills, accuracy and reliability. Strong planning and organisation skills is required.
  • You can work both autonomously, setting your own work schedule and demonstrate flexibility when required by the team or business.
  • Functionally you have a strong knowledge of Office 365 applications (Excel, Access, PBI)
  • Business understanding and affinity with automotive industry.
  • Clear, effective and professional communication is required, both verbally and written.
  • Fluent in English, any other European language is an asset
