Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

 

Vehicle Supply Chain (VSC) is responsible for the multi modal transportation of Toyota and Lexus vehicles from our Overseas – and Local Plants, to ports of export, inland compounds and/or retailers in Europe.

 

For those European markets where we assume responsibility until retailer delivery, our vehicles are Customised (Post Production Option Installations-PPO & Vehicle Conversion) and Quality checked (Pre Delivery Inspection) in our hubs, all strategically located within Europe.

              

Through the fundamentals of Safety and Quality, VLG’s core mission is to achieve on-time and shortest possible delivery lead time to Toyota retailers in Europe. This critical activity involves strong project management skills, daily follow up and reporting, system enhancements and countermeasure implementation (transportation and hub workload management), from vehicle line-off to retailer delivery through Toyota Production System principles.

Your responsabilities:

In order to support the above, you will be joining Operations Development – Workshop team and your main function will be:

 

  • Develop the best method to achieve the highest level of Safety and Quality and Productivity Standards in our Hub operations.
  • Implementation of the best method to demonstrate that sustainable improvements can be achieved.
  • Training the members in the Hub to be able to roll out and sustain the required levels of performance.
  • Support our logistics partners in the Hub to identify recurrent issues and develop sustainable countermeasures.

Your Profile

  • As an engineer you have 5 - 10 years of practical engineering experience in a workshop
  • Experience in automotive production or transportation environment is a big asset.
  • High affinity with automotive and technique
  • Strong quality mindset
  • Dynamic team player with strong communication skills and maturity to coach and train a team.
  • Ability to think creatively and generate new ideas after deep analysis.
  • Able to show the skills and understanding expected for a project management role.
  • Result driven, problem solver with strong Excel/Access skills.
  • Capability to make decisions for day-to-day operational problems.
  • Ability to influence an organization
  • Tenacious in nature and take deadlines very seriously.
  • Fluent in English and Czech - any other language will be considered as an asset.
  • Willing to travel.
