Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

 

The Circular Economy Business Unit is objective is:

  • Minimise use of virgin raw materials in new vehicle by maximising recycled content in design phase.
  • Ensure Zero waste in manufacturing
  • Maximise End of Life Vehicle (ELV) recycling by reintegration of this recycled material back into Toyota supply chain.

Your responsibilities

 

As Project Leader for Proof of Concept (PoC) implementation

  • End of Life Vehicle (ELV)
    • Map & analyse ELV pipeline for UK and, other major European markets including Nordics, Eastern Europe and identify ELV channels including buying platforms per country/region to re-direct ELV volume back into Toyota network.
    • Benchmark other OEM thinking way in terms of buying platforms.
  • ELV Buying Platform PoC
    • Design POC to validate business case and identify learning outcomes to close the knowledge GAP.
    • Create action plan and KPI’s with stakeholders and lead implementation of buying platform linked to ATF/Dismantler PoC BY engaging with external partners and internal stakeholders.
    • Prioritise access to the vehicle type/model by studying key commodities for PoC implementation based on regulatory compliance needs and profit potential.

As Project Support for Proof of Concept (PoC) implementation

  • Dismantling PoC : Coordinate dismantling PoC with Lead function by setting clear KPIs, visualisation of the progress and regular milestone check

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • University degree (Business/Engineering/Project Management)
  • Min 3 years’ experience in the Automotive industry with focus as Strategy/Business analyst or material/environmental engineering
  • Knowledgeable and passion for: Sustainability, Circular Economy, Engineering material waste management is a plus.
  • Functional knowledge in R&D, Purchasing, Value Chain or Sales is a plus
  • Strong communications skills to various levels
  • Strong analytical skills focussed on process analysis
  • Interests in understanding the relevant processes & activities of other functions linked with LCV
  • Doer - makes things happen
  • Can get results when dealing with different company cultures in fast-paced environment where there are challenging deadlines and constant ambiguity
  • Result driven & performance mindset
