On the other hand, Toyota Connected Technologies, headquartered in Brussels, takes responsibility for devising, planning, and executing the European strategy for connected, multimedia, and mobility services.

Your responsibilities

We are in search of a dynamic Sr Specialist (he/she) who will integrate and strengthen BPO Cost Planning Team focusing on “connected” hardware, software, back-end and services with local and global Product and Development Teams to secure achievement of Financial Targets for Toyota Smart Cars in European Market.


  1. Support BPO Manager in defining appropriate Project’s Cost Planning Assumptions:
    1. Ensure definition of volume, mix scenario and service grade strategy by carline
    2. Ensure appropriate distribution of CT allowance between Hardware and Services
    3. Submit cost planning assumptions with global organisation towards cost planning milestones
  2. Support BPO Manager in the development of the business case and approval of cost and profit targets through Project milestones by TME and TMC executives
    1. Manage and consolidate cost estimation for hardware, software, cloud architecture and services from European and Global teams
    2. Ensure clarification of profit gap based on the budget vs cost estimation, create an achievement scenario towards each Cost Planning milestones by cost reduction based on VE activities and, product and service content prioritisation in cooperation with global teams.
  3. Conduct Cost Follow activities during the Development period and Final Price Study prior to Start of Production. Perform PDCA reflection once the product is on the market (above previous O6 role).
    1. Gather quotations from external Supplier (Purchasing) and Strategic Partners (TCEU, TMNA, TMC);
    2. Reconfirm latest Volumes, Mixes and Prices
    3. Re-evaluate Business Case versus original Target
    4. Report to CT and TME Top Management final Profit outcome versus original Cost Planning Target.
    5. Lead additional recovery activities in case of Gap to Target.
    6. Provide input to Finance team in terms of Mid Term Business Plan and Budget Forecast.
  4. Support Contracts discussion and negotiation with Toyota-family Strategic Partners, in making sure that Business Case expectations and Targets will be reflected in the Contract.
  5. Contracts Management by coordinating activities with Indirect Purchasing, Legal, and Business Planning division in TME

Your Profile

  • You hold a degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering
  • Enthusiast for Mobility Transformation solutions
  • You bring professional experience in Cost Planning and Business Cases validations with a focus on digital products. Non-automotive experience is also valued
  • You demonstrate proven capabilities in negotiating and reaching consensus.
  • You showcase strong communication and excellent planning skills
  • Result driven and able to break down complex tasks into manageable portions
  • Creative, rigorous, challenging and persevering
  • Strong computer literate (MS Excel, and PowerBI tools)
  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language), any other European language is an added value
