Do you want to take part in the development of the car of tomorrow? The Purchasing team at Toyota Motor Europe can offer you this challenge. Located in the heart of Europe, Purchasing plays a key strategic role in the development of our future products.  As a buyer you will develop and manage all aspects of the commercial relationship between Toyota and its suppliers, located all over Europe.  This position will allow you to have an insight into the most recent technical innovations and will enable you to get a deep understanding of how a leading multinational operates and interacts with numerous internal and external parties.

 

Your responsibilties

 

● You provide the link between Toyota Europe and our component suppliers developing new products for the next generation of automobiles in Europe.

● You take responsibility from product development through to pre-production and into mass production using Toyota’s unique production preparation methodology and teamwork approach.

● You are supporting the preparation team of Design, Quality & Logistics people, of both Toyota and suppliers

● You continuously promote innovations and improvements, ensuring on-time preparation leading to the successful introduction of your parts into mass production.

● You work together with your suppliers, improve and develop their mass production performance inthe areas of quality, delivery and productivity based on Toyota Production Systems requirements.

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language), another European language is an asset
  • You have a university degree or higher education in business, purchasing or engineering
  • You have business understanding and affinity with automotive products
  • You are results driven and able to break down complex issues into manageable portions
  • You have good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • You have highly developed analytical skills, accuracy and reliability
  • You can work independently in multi-disciplinary teams
  • You are computer literate (MS Excel, PowerPoint)
  • You are willing to travel up to 20%
